Daphne lking enticement trial

Further revelations on Daphne lking enticement trial : the 3-year-old Isobel Daniella Iking-Chong is not Daphne's ex-hubby, Ryan Chong Yiing Yih's daughter. DNA tests had confirmed so.

There are two conclusions. Firstly, Daphne did have an affair with someone else which led to the creation (for lack of a better word) of Isobel. Though it is not stated whether the DNA test revealed that the father of Isobel is Darren Choy Khin Ming, the man which is in the center of this 'enticement' case.

Secondly, I have no sympathy to Ryan after this revelation. It ought to be kept within the court & not to have the news spread throughout the world. Isobel is not the guilty party here and yet, she's been dragged into the messy turmoil.

The DNA of Daphne Iking’s three-year-old child does not match that of her ex-husband, a magistrate’s court heard.

Ryan Chong Yiing Yih, 32, claimed that the results of a paternity test stated he was “excluded from being the biological father” of the child.

He was testifying in a private summons against corporate figure Darren Choy Khin Ming, 45, under Section 498 of the Penal Code.

Choy was charged with enticing Iking, knowing that she was a married woman, with the intention of having sexual intercourse.

He allegedly committed the offence at a condominium unit in Taman Tun Dr Ismail here between July 2007 and September last year.

If found guilty, Choy can be jailed up to two years, fined or both.

During examination-in-chief by his lawyer, Wong Kian Kheong, Chong told the court he had his suspicions about his daughter after reading the e-mail correspondence between Iking and Choy spanning from 2007 to 2008.

Chong said he came across the e-mails on his home computer on Aug 10, 2008.

In an excerpt of an online chat between the two, which he read out in court, Iking was alleged to have told Choy: “I want her (the child) to look like you.”

Other excerpts included her allegedly telling Choy that the baby “has your face shape. Not mine, not Ryan’s. You know you have a Bajau face right?”

In taking the stand, Chong read out e-mails in which Choy addressed Iking as “sweetie”, “baby”, “baby girl” and “Your Highness”.

Choy was also alleged to have written: “I’ve found a special someone. One whom I share all my laughter with so willingly. One who has given me a new lease of life.

“As I write this short note, I realise you are more than special. I’m blessed. So blessed. Never a day goes by without me thinking of my baby.”

One of the e-mails also had a list of some 30 hotels where they had stayed together and also an invitation for Iking to join him on a trip to Vienna and London.

Representing Choy were lawyers Datuk Jagjit Singh and Akbardin Abdul Kader.

Earlier, Wong told the court he had subpoenaed Iking as a witness in court.

However, when the court asked if she would turn up, Wong replied: “Man proposes, God disposes. I can only issue the subpoena.”

The hearing before magistrate Engku Ahmad Rashdi Engku Abdillah continues on Monday.
go,,,,Daphne Iking was indeed 'enticed'...willingly
The ex-husband of model and TV presenter Daphne Eleanor Iking told the Magistrate's Court Friday that Isobel Daniella Iking-Chong is not his biological child.

Ryan Chong Yiing Yih said that DNA tests had confirmed that Isobel is not his daughter.

Chong said he decided to get tests done after reading e-mail exchanges between former Adidas managing director Darren Choy Khin Ming and Iking.

He said that his suspicions grew when an e-mail from Iking to Choy stated: "Her (Isobel's) face resembles u more."

He then took Isobel to a clinic in Petaling Jaya which sent a specimen to Australia to find out who Isobel's biological father was.

Chong said that blood tests on himself and Iking showed they both had Type O blood while Isobel had Type A.

He was giving a statement in his private summons against 45-year-old Choy for enticing 31-year-old Iking, with the intent of having sexual intercourse at The Plaza condominium, Jalan Wan Kadir, Taman Tun Dr Ismail, Kuala Lumpur, between July 2007 and September 2008.

Iking wed Chong on Jan 27, 2009 in Bali, Indonesia. They divorced in 2009.

If convicted under Section 498 of the Penal Code, Choy faces up to two years in jail, or a fine, or both.

Choy is represented by lawyers Datuk Jagjit Singh and Akberdin Abdul Kader.

Chong told the court that there were many romantic e-mails between Choy and Iking, as well as interactions on Google Chat which he discovered in his former wife's computer.

He said the e-mails and chats between the two started on Sept 13, 2006, which was before he married Iking..

"I have proof that Choy had the intention of enticing my ex-wife for sexual intercourse," he said when asked by his lawyer, Wong Kian Kheong Chong.

Chong, 32, said it was through the e-mails and chats that he knew Iking and Choy planned to holiday together at the Banyan Tree Bintan Resort, Indonesia.

The hearing before Magistrate Engku Ahmad Rashdi Engku Abdillah continues on Monday.
next: Daphne Iking was indeed 'enticed'.
The former husband of TV personality Daphne Iking had once tried to surprise the actress by turning up at the KL International Airport (KLIA) to meet her when she arrived from London two years ago.

Instead, he was shocked when he saw Darren Choy Khin Ming, the man accused of enticing Iking, kissing her on the cheek, a magistrate’s court heard yesterday.

Ryan Chong Yiing Yih testified yesterday that he saw Choy, 45, with Iking at the arrival hall of KLIA on July 5, 2008.

The two had arrived on the same flight from London, he added.

“The accused (Choy) had his right hand over my (former) wife’s shoulder and kissed her cheek near the ear,” Chong said.

The 32-year-old businessman is the first witness in the high-profile enticement trial.

Chong recounted that he had arrived from Shanghai at about 3.30pm the same day and knew that Iking, 31, was also flying in from London around the same time.

Upon his arrival, he asked the information counter for the arrival gate of Iking’s flight and decided to surprise her.

He added that he was shocked to see Choy with Iking because the latter had not mentioned the accused was on the same flight.

Choy said the two did not notice him and he witnessed the kiss on the cheek.

Chong finally confronted them more than three hours later at the airport and both denied having an affair.

To a question by his lawyer Wong Kian Kheong, Chong said that he decided to commence the private summons because he “did not want the accused to break other families”.

He added that he wanted to prevent the accused from using his position as the managing director of a multi-national company.

“He had used his position to entice my wife, destroyed my marriage and ruined lives,” he added.

Chong also testified that he had accidentally discovered e-mail correspondence between Iking and Choy on his home computer on Aug 10, 2008.

He said he did not confront Iking about the e-mails because he wanted to speak to his close friend Harold Tan about the matter.

The hearing continues before magistrate Engku Ahmad Rashdi Engku Abdillah on Dec 17 and 20.

Chong had initiated a private summons against Choy under Section 498 of the Penal Code for enticing or taking away or detaining with criminal intent a married woman.

Choy was charged with enticing Iking, knowing that she was a married woman, with the intention of having sexual intercourse.

He allegedly committed the offence at a condominium unit in Taman Tun Dr Ismail between July 2007 and September last year.

If found guilty, he can be jailed up to two years, fined or both.
